That wasn't the way that I read it but it could have been. There's always more to these stories.

It sounded like the purchase of the cookie was the offense and the angry customer part was the result. I just assume that writing someone up has to be for violating a policy or code of conduct.

I think you have to read the moms write up and then compare it to the reprimand letter to get a more comprehensive view

My guess is the store manager dealt with it, the kid was fine and then someone higher up found out about the incident and told the store manager to write him up and suspend him for a week.

Kid goes home and tells his mom what happened and she takes the story to Facebook
