NPR's reporting leading up to the election was ridiculous.

It was laughable how obvious they were cherry-picking their Trump supporters to interview. A typical pre-interview introduction of a Trump supporter went like this:

"James Smith lives near Montgomery, Alabama. He is the co-founder a private militia group and believes that the U.S. government has a responsibility to deport all Muslims and homosexuals. He plans to vote for Donald Trump. We interviewed him to learn more about his beliefs."

I wish I was being hyperbolic, but I'm not.

Yes you are...they did extensive interviews with people on "who are you voting for and why" and followed them for 3-4 months through the end of the election. They were not crazy people at all from all over the country.
