The movies are okay but the books are where the magic's at, no pun intended. I grew up with the books and felt like both the characters and the writing grew up with me over the years, with more complex writing, characters, and themes evolving as I matured.

Agree they are great books for any age. I got my oldest son to read them after seeing a few of the movies and he loved them. AR points in school for him like a mofo.

I agree the endings felt rushed and I didn't like the movie final battle with Harry and Voldemort. Hated no one witnessed it like the book, he just walks back inside like "yeah I killed Voldemort of anyone cares!"
