Until you can actually tell me another reason you think so, I'll simply chalk the comparison as apples to oranges. The Panthers lost the super bowl with the MVP, true. But other than that, how are the situations comparable?

You can argue the SB hangover, but until we see how the team actually responds, all we have is what's on paper which reads very good for near future.

It's highly unlikely Matt Ryan will ever replicate that type of season again. Before last season he had a career rating through 8 seasons of 88 and a QBR of 70. Then suddenly he jumps to 117 and 83 respectively.

He most likely regresses to the mean this season. He's an above average QB but he's not a superstar. Now their defense should be better, but overall I doubt they catch lightening in s bottle again.
