We'd wait for some poor schmuck to get up to go get a fork or something and then poke the straw all the way through the bag of milk... when they'd pick it up they'd get douched with milk.

I would carry my milk with me when I had to get up...

I had that happen to me one time in 2nd grade... I never let my milk out of my sight after that

Lasagna w/ yeast Rolls and peaches.

It was great if you got the croner piece that was a little crisp along teh edges.

Anything but red beans and rice. i still won't eat red beans to this day b/c of the numerous times it was served back in school.

I had the pouch milk until I moved to Texas. I guess in Texas they just have cartons. Back in Louisiana we had the damn plastic pouches with the little yellow pointed straw. I swear once a week i'd accidently poke the straw all the way through the bag, and get a nice chocolate milk pool in my lunch tray.

Mine was roast beef po-boys on Thursdays and chicken fried steak w/mashed potatoes on Wednesdays.

Least favorite: shepherd's pie. The cafeteria stank on those days.

Each day's menu was posted on a letter board; removable letters, etc. Somebody would get up on a stool and change the letters around. Friday was "fish on buns" which became "shite on buns"; "Hot roast beef" became "hot roach reefer" on Thursdays.

spaghetti was always good, with the roll.

In Texas we also had chicken fried steak every single day as a choice. There was a new hot lunch choice every day, or you could get chicken fried steak, white gravy and mashed potatos. The chicken fried steak was pretty good.

we'd have fights in the cafeteria every time they served TATOR TOTS. Fighting over TATOR TOTS!

Did no one else have Chicken Fried Steak in their cafeteria? Couple that with 2 rolls, french fries and 2 chocolate milks.

I used to eat that everyday but Wednesday...that was Chicken Tender Basket day.
