I'd be ok with Martes in the pen, if he's still on the Astros in 6 weeks
Me too. I don't mind him. I don't think he's a starter yet, but he would be good in the bullpen for us.

Paulino's HR/FB ratio has to be like 50% I feel like

Hot garbage again. We ain't going to win many more games before the Allstar break with this staff running on fumes

God I can't wait to get our full staff back together. Would be a breath of fresh air for the rotation and bullpen too.

People act like everyone will be back and healthy. Very little chance of that. Moves need to be made for the rotation and pen on top of hoping a couple of guys come back and actually stay healthy. Lunhow really shouldn't be OK waiting another month at this point.

Everyone expects most, if not all, of the veteran starters to come back healthy AND trades for pitching to be made. And they will be.

Ryno is at defcon 1.
Keuchel may need surgery, McHugh will never pitch again, etc, etc

Everything I've read about McHugh's issue indicated he'll be fine. Impingement is not ligament damage.
Morton is probably fine, but we know he's fragile in general.
Keuchel's neck? Rest until no signs of any issue and hope for the best.
Aoki? DFA please.

Mchugh and Morton are avg. Pitchers at best. Morton is made of glass. Keuchel is no sure thing at this point. Everyone is hopeful.

You know we're making a trade for a top 3 rotation guy. I would not be surprised if it's well before the deadline.
McHugh is a solid starter who gives you plenty of innings. That's gold for a team that hits like this one.
Morton will likely be okay at least for a while, which is all we need.

I'd say McHugh is slightly above average.

Sipp working on Cy Young as we type

Sipp having a good inning. So far.
Posted on 6/28/17 at 9:28 pm to wahoocs
2015 Sipp makes an appearance once a month just to taunt us.

McHugh is making a rehab start on Friday, and it seems like they are intentionally taking it slow with DK, as they should.
We have a 12-1/2 game lead right now. I know we are snake bitten after the last 2 years, but this team is light years better offensively than those teams.
When the rotation goes back to normal, everyone in the bullpen becomes more effective. Peacock becomes a true long man again, we can use Devo as needed instead of long man and Feliz can go back to a 1 inning guy
