You don't pay for just the material when you go to a restaurant and you don't pay for just the gauze pad at a hospital.

480 for a plastic cast was my latest bitch fest. Guarantee it cost their chineese manufacturer 4 bucks to make and ship it over here. My kids nerf gun has more plastic and it was 30 bucks.

And a nurse to put it on you and a Dr. to examine you, and someone to check you in, and another nurse to do triage, and someone to change the linens in the ER room, and someone to clean the place so you don't get infected, and finally some money to pay the electric bill.
