Do you pick up traits from TV/Movie characters and apply them to your own life?

Seems silly, but it happens. I don't necessarily mean going around impersonating characters, but characteristics, mannerisms, quirks, etc...you may pick up from them

Walter White - I've always admired the way he expressed himself and his word usage when it's appropriate.

I actually apply some of his style while I'm at work and when conversing with women outside....and been more successful because of it.

I don't know about traits, but I've always had a bad temper and I try to use deescalating techniques I see on screen.

Not technically a movie character, but whenever I watch shitty movies, I hear Mr. Plinkett's voice going through my head. He definitely has affected how critical I am of other things.

Well, I thought of modeling my life on Frank Underwood. But I figured that might bring some problems.

Thanks to Stannis Baratheon, I am now a stickler on the use of "less" and "fewer."

I expect everyone picks up bits and pieces of what they see, hear, and read. For example, I don't believe I used "I expect" before reading Lonesome Dove in 1987 or thereabouts. It's not just a quote, it's become an integral part of my lingo.

No, but I write down quotes that I like and get temporarily inspired when I read them again.

“All you need is good people.”
- Das Boot

“I don’t believe in fairy tales, or sermons, or stories about money.”
- True Grit

I've watched so much Star Trek that I've started saying "That's an order" a lot. Waiters look at me funny sometimes.

I think my level of cursing goes up when I'm doing a rewatch of The Sopranos or Deadwood.
