I agree with you that one day's rest isn't enough for the pitching staff to completely recover.

In MLB, it's a best of 7 series with days off after Game 2. Pitching has a chance to recover.

But, it's fair to both teams. We both pitched 9 innings Friday and Saturday.

If LSU is going to win Game 1, it's going to be a total team win. Johnny Wholestaff will likely be comprised of 6 pitchers - all of them will have to do their part to keep us in the game.

And our bats, our bats are going to have to be there for us tonight.

And the defense --- we may need a couple of awesome plays defensively tonight to hang in there. A couple of double plays to get us out of a couple of jams.

Our Top 2 starters need the rest. While Florida's #1 may not be available at all.

It sucks for both teams in that regard.
