Why doesn't she like spinners? I hate having to drag a suitcase behind me.

Cheaper spinners, like the Travelpro, require some thought to packing in order to keep them balanced. Putting weightier stuff on top can lead those bags to tip over. Nothing disastrous, just harder to control.

But the real reasons for not wanting a spinner - 1) interior space sacrifices 2) especially with smaller limits on international carriers and 3) spinners can become a PITA when you're doing a lot of walking, moving between trains, walking down cobblestone streets, etc.

She manages ok with hers when we do those things, but they're not ideal. I'm just as mobile as she is with a higher quality duty non-spinner bag. I'm switching to backpack carry on this year, but if I were buying another rolling bag I'd probably opt for a higher end non-spinner variant. I'm not advocating against them, they just don't work that well for certain types of travel.

Yeah I did a bit of reading up on that. I don't think it will affect me as I'll pretty much only be using it inside of airports and I hate having to drag a suitcase behind me while walking through terminals.

I went ahead and ordered the Maxlite on Amazon. I figured this way I'd get it by Thursday and if I didn't like it I could return it and still have 4 weeks to find something else.

Appreciate the advice fellas
