Essentially I'd have a few hours where I was fine, 5 bites into a meal feel terrible, rinse repeat. Just stopped eating.

Do you ever have anxiety issues? When I was a kid, I got sick on almost every vacation. Even now, I don't necessarily get sick but I'm in bed much earlier each night and my appetite is very small.. which sucks because I plan vacations around eating/drinking.

I'm just private.

Some people will travel to other cities where acquaintances live so that it's a "free" vacation, but I just can't get comfortable that way. I don't like imposing on others, I don't like having to ask people in the comforts of their home to accommodate me, etc. I want to come in at whatever time of night I want and wake up the next morning and poop in peace

Nope, quite opposite. I pretty much believe every thing is going to work out. I've gone to some pretty rough places in the world, though the one time I was under a bridge with my wife at 3AM in Delhi surrounded by 30 dudes kinda had me on edge.

I had a private room, with my own entrance. So I didn't even see my host, but I could here my host and other guest being underneath them. In the description of the home it was listed as a quiet, private, room
