Also, ethanol fuel starts phase separation in as little as two weeks. So, if you buy gas that's been sitting in a gas station tank for 1 week and you fill up your CJ and don't burn the entire tank within the month = water in your gas.

I only use 100% gas (93 octane) and I mix in Marine Stabil. It's expensive, but it has made a difference in all my carbureted engines.

i completely ran the tank dry, and am only filling up with nonethonal fuel from now on.

UPDATE

I have decided to go ahead and invest in a new carb. i am seeing about 50/50 pf jeep people running either Weber 32/36 and Motorcraft 2100/2150.

I think have decided to get a 2100 from the ebay guy, i have bee reading way more good reviews than bad from him. does anyone have anything that wold push me away from this.
