I have dumped a can of seafoam in the tank and im letting it run on high idle till it runs out. going to get 10 gallons of non ethanal and do it again. i took it for a spin down the street and didnt have an issue but i didnt go but a few hundred yards. after i get a good amount of seafoam ran through ill take it for a longer run to see how it does, before i shell out for a new carb.
The entire problem MIGHT be contaminated fuel. Just a little bit of H20 in the fuel will cause all kinds of problems. SeaFoam will take care of that, plus you MIGHT have picked up a tiny piece of crud in the jets, or the needle may have some buildup. SeaFoam will usually take care of those, too. Lots of possibilities. Did you check the plugs? Plugs under a load will sometimes perform differently than plugs at idle. Keep us posted. I love threads like this.

I tore the jets out this morning and cleaned them and put them back. At it is running great. I put the air filter back on and it still ran but not as good. I need to replace the file and clean all that out. I drove around and was find but after a few miles it started dieing again when I took my toot off the gas. I'm guessing the idle jets got clogged again, from more crud. I'll do this a few times more to see if it will clean out.
