oh wow.
the cheapest 1070 on PCPartpicker right now is $444
OP, to elaborate on what blue is referring to, the mining craze of digital commodities, like ethereum and bitcoin, has caused video cards to go out of stock everywhere.
at the end of may I got a 1070 for $370, and right now you cant buy one new for less than $444
the 1080s aren't that efficient at mining, so their price has remained stable, starting at $500
the AMD Cards are all sold out, they are most efficient for mining. don't bother searching.
below the 1070 is a 1060 6 GB, which can be had for $250 but aren't that great, but may be enough to suit your needs.

Miners are ruining the hobby right now. The gains aren't like 2013/2014 profits when mining was yumyum. So really don't understand the craze.
Edt: Look at used cards or CPUs from sellers with great feedback on eBay. Could save you a few bucks.
