Wearing a cross... Doesn't fit narrative oh no!
Look, the difference between migrating to the US and Europe is that by the virtue of distance, we have controlled migration. Our vetting process is the most thorough and time consuming one in the world. We don't have migrants from Africa and the middle east just showing up at our doorstep. Therefore, we don't have the same concerns and should continue trusting the process that has resettled millions of refugees to our country, giving well deserved families a new life.
In addition to these incidents not being our problem, they are incredibly rare. Let us not also forget the uptick in violence against refugees (including many innocent families) that never gets mentioned on this board. Let's not also forget migrant children who are kidnapped into sex slavery. Are these not atrocities too? How easily do we forget that the vast vast majority of these people are simply humans surviving circumstances you or I couldn't even fathom of having to deal with?
This crime is awful. All instances of rape, regardless of who committed the crime, are awful. Condemn the criminals, but don't brush broad strokes on "refugees" and don't ignore the other criminal acts done by others.
