I have no idea. I had bought an iwb and owb for my shield and the iwb seemed so much more comfortable for me. I am very new to guns (2 years) and bought my first pistol 6 months ago. Any recs on owb holsters?

I'm no holster expert but I'd warn you against an IWB if you don't have a permit. One simple mistake, your shirt covers your weapon, and you could get in some trouble.

I prefer IWB as well. Less movement and more comfortable with a good holster. I have a new XDs with a blade tech IWB that I forget is there.

My rec is don't open carry in public, but you have to be one of "those guys", at least use a holster with some active retention.

the best holsters I have ever owned have come from Wright leather works. They even have a holster called the cobra which can be used for IWB and OWB.
