While I see where you are going with this, there were other taxes and issues the people of Boston had with the British Crown.

It was only a matter of time, similar to the Civil War, both were inevitable in their receptive political climates.

The Stamp Act was a flashpoint.

Even if independence had come later, the shape of the world is still different today. So much connected to it.
