Quite frankly it doesn't matter one bit if a great player is fom LA or the moon.

Except it very much does. Nobody bats an eye if Lsu signs great players from Louisiana, in any sport. It's actually expected.

See tbird's thoughts on Javonte smart.

Tasmin Mitchell choosing Lsu over Kentucky surprised no one.

Before he left, people still expected trent Johnson to get jarrell martin to Lsu, despite very little evidence to support the idea that he could. And were pissed when Greg Monroe left.

Signing great players from all across the country is what gets people's attention.

Just off the top of my head (for sure I am omitting some) these are players that virtually EVERYBLANKINGBODY recruited, yet chose the correct school.

Once again, completely irrelevant to the topic at hand.

quote:

I doubt there are a dozen schools that could compete with the quality of that list.

I'm not going to go through and list every player from each school, but off the top of my head these 13 schools should be able to put together a very high quality list of signees that would compete very well with your Lsu list.

Unc, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, UCLA, Arizona, Michigan st, Indiana, Syracuse, Georgetown, uconn, Florida, Texas,

LSU getting great recruits is like the sun rising in the east every morning.

Except it's not. There are 10 people on your list from this century, and 2 of them are in this year's class. The sun rises in the east more than just 8 times in 18 years.

You know, we can piss back and forth forever, but you have claimed that LSU is comparable to vandy in how surprising it is that they are signing top flight players. That is the topic YOU have gotten off of, and you are 100000% wrong about that. Vandy's best player ever is probably william baldwin the 42nd or will perdue who couldn't get the splinters out of their asses coming off of LSU's all time team's bench.
I have no clue how long you have watched LSU or sec basketball, but I go back to 1977. Once again, the problem has NEVER been can LSU attract great talent in hoops, it has been, can we manage, coach, and keep them together long enough. I have a suspicion (and hope) we have cured that with Will Wade.
