Except it very much does. Nobody bats an eye if Lsu signs great players from Louisiana, in any sport. It's actually expected.

Tasmin Mitchell choosing Lsu over Kentucky surprised no one.

Before he left, people still expected trent Johnson to get jarrell martin to Lsu, despite very little evidence to support the idea that he could. And were pissed when Greg Monroe left.

Signing great players from all across the country is what gets people's attention.

I'm not going to go through and list every player from each school, but off the top of my head these 13 schools should be able to put together a very high quality list of signees that would compete very well with your Lsu list.

Except it's not. There are 10 people on your list from this century, and 2 of them are in this year's class. The sun rises in the east more than just 8 times in 18 years.
