Three sub-10's and about five more that were a nipple hair away from it as well. Is that normal for the NCAA final or is the track just running fast?

This may be a stupid question, but does how a track is built/material under their feet make a runner faster?

To be fair I was watching these heats and the annoucers all said the times were "wind legal" with an aided wind of .8 meters/second (around 1-2 mph)

I just saw that Bama DB Tony Brown ran a 10.12.

THat's a good question, and I'm not sure. However, I have noticed that the 200 and 400 times aren't blazing, and we are way off from some high profile guys PRing in other events.
