my views on released players at this time of the year is, while they can be brought in as backups to solidify rosters, for the most part, they aren't going to start for you and were released for a good reason such as diminishing skills.

have no clue about this guy but with the thing with fairley I think bringing in "some" help should be considered, not expecting the roster we have to be filled with next man up caliber talent

They need to sign him ASAP. He is a good LB who still got another 2 years in the tank.

Per PFF:

- Harris earned a 77.6 PFF overall grade in 2016 which ranked 35th out of 87 qualifying linebackers. Harris was much better in 2016 than his likely replacements Darron Lee and Demario Davis who earned 38.3 and 58.4 grades, respectively.

- He will be missed in coverage where Davis allowed one reception per 11.1 snaps in coverage compared to Lee’s one reception per 7.2 snaps in coverage.

- Harris was the Jets most reliable tackler, missing a tackle once every 15.5 tackle attempts, better Davis, who missed a tackle once every 10.3 attempts.

We need to bring him in. I'd take him over Te'o easily.
