Is anyone else here on this board watching the new season of House of Cards right now?

No matter what your views, this show has many parallels to what has been going on in D.C. for a while.

It's amazing how they get famous news hosts like Shepard Smith, Wolf Blitzer, and etc.

Not yet but thanks for reminding me! I'm with you, the show has been great so far and I've been looking forward to this season.

Please add Season 5 Thread in your thread title please if the poliboard is going to be discussing the new season.

The scene with the President speaking on the floor in front of Congress like he was a regular member was amazing to watch. This happened in the first episode.

Bill Clinton called it 99% accurate as far as DC politics goes.

Yes, being able to feed into the narcissism of dim witted narcissists is a hell of a coup.

Ugh, I have to wait until I get off of work to start.

I knew it was going to be interesting when I saw shades of #NotMyPresident and the terrorism storyline in the trailer.

Probably going to watch the first episode tonight.

Anyone else feel like there has been a lack of hype for this season? If it weren't for seeing this thread I'd honestly have no idea it got released today

No didn't know it had started back yet. This show is incredibly well done.

Just got finished with the season. That ending was really stupid. If this show becomes about Claire entirely, I'm done. I'm also sick of the husband and wife back and forth can't trust each other shite.

So I'm on episode 5 right now, and there are some pieces that I don't remember how they fit together. The woman who Doug Stamper is fricking, who is she?

So, I started watching HOC a couple years ago but only got through the first 7 or 8 episodes. I just started again with S1E1. I don't want to read through the thread for spoilers, but if you had to rank the HOC seasons, how would you rank them?

I guess I'm in the minority, but I loved this season - probably my second favorite season. Season 3 is the only one I didn't care for. Early on I was hoping for Conway to get the nod with Claire as VP, so Frank could then bring down Conway to elevate Claire. But I ended up liking the way it all played out. Thoroughly enjoyed the season, as did my wife. Looking forward to the next one. The body count is reaching Clinton levels.
