My store averages 65 employees and I can't get people to do labor anymore.. If they have food stamps/EBT card, they do not want a job. I have constant openings in my deli'smoked meat dept, no one will work at night until 10:00, no one will mop floors, NO ONE will unload a delivery truck and stock it until completed, no one will clean up and throw away food/meat/produce scraps, it's beneath them. They say it's for a janitor to do. This country has been ruined by welfare and food stamps. They get too many too, $600,$700 or $900 a month is what they get. They buy all they want in steaks, ribs, roasts, pies, cakes, cookies, candy, sweets, then have EBT left over and they don't even want to go back and spend the rest. It's a pain in the arse to have to back and spend more that they don't need. $350 is enough for an unmarried couple with 3 or 4 illegitiment kids out of wedlock.

Could hire a few immigrants to do it.

that just sounds like you're not a good manager and not good at hiring.

This is awesome. It really pissed me off to see a mother with 5 kids (that she payed no attention to) walk up to the checkout and have a cart full of ribs, steaks, cakes etc. while using their ebt cards and I was living on noodles working 40+ hours a week and going to school. Finally something is being done, but people who try to better themselves here get shited on. Way to go Georgia!

ETA: I know it is only for able bodied people with no kids, but it is a step in the right direction.

I liked it better when the government directly gave out staple food items instead of a card.
