The NBA is a sham and its fans are saps

The NBA is a fake league.
The regular season is a sham, the playoffs are a sham.
Two legitimate teams + 28 Washington Generals does not make a league and certainly does not make a sport.
'Professional basketball' is a bigger joke than professional wrestling.
Huge LOL @ everyone foolish enough to spend a single dollar or minute on the pathetic charade the NBA has become.
The regular season is a sham, the playoffs are a sham.

NBA is a huge joke
They sold out to appeal to the lowest common denominator in society, the uneducated and those who make less than 30k a year
Playoffs are too long. Over half the league gets in, that's stupid
Marketed with stupid gimmicks like Lil Jon and grammatically incorrect ghetto language shirts like "We the North" and other stupid nicknames like Clutch City and Rip City, no other pro sports league does that shite
All the NBA focuses on are the individuals instead of the teams. Should just make it a 1 on 1 or 2 on 2 or 3 on 3 league at most
And lastly the playoffs are scripted. I called the rigged 2016 finals in 2014, 2 years before it happened. Said in 2014 Heat lose, LBJ goes back to Cavs, he loses in 2015 but wins it all in 2016. It was Sterns final act. 2017 is Silvers first year at the typewriter. If I never got an admin warning I would keep making script threads

Most sports leagues in the world and most university sports have only a few legitimate contenders. The league is top heavy now but it isn't like that has never been the case.

By the numbers NBA peaked in the 90's.
They kept extending the playoffs riding that Jordan wave but the wave fizzled out.
The problem with the NBA - contrary to the NFL - is that it built its brand and model not on the sport itself...NBA almost never ever ever markets the sport of basketball...
It built its brand on stardom.
You watch that Magic and Bird documentary...and the NBC guys admit...they only sold Magic and Bird because they were instant stars...and every game they broadcast..was some team vs. Celtics, some team vs. Lakers and that was the Sunday double-header...EVERY WEEKEND.
NBA needs transcendent players to make a buck and that's a poor business model...relying on Jordan and Kobe and LeBron.
They kept extending the playoffs riding that Jordan wave but the wave fizzled out.

I agree that it is more entertainment than anything. ESPN and ABC awful promotions building every damn game up like there's some intriguing story line. We all knew it was going to be Warriors and Cavs. I'll watch the games because I'm entertained but we all know the NBA will make sure the refs stretch it to a game 7. Haven't spent money on a ticket in maybe a decade.

When the leagues best player gets away with stuff like this on the regular then it's displayed as a top play and he's praised for it, it's kind of ridiculous.

It is the easiest sport to buy a winner.
Only takes 2-3 buys.
Where as with mlb/nhl/nfl, it takes more than 3 buys. You cant be a bottom feeder and win in those leagues.
