Finishing up a road trip from Colorado to BR. We always stop in Amarillo and enjoy the steak at The Big Texan. These are some great steaks. Anyone else had one? It's a cool stop for the kids and they have some great food and good brew they make in house. It's a little nostalgia for me from being young and stopping here with my parents. I had the bone in ribeye on the way down and the t-bone on the way back. Both were excellent and the double IPA they make was great.

I've never eaten there. I have old nostalgic places I like to eat too because of my folks bringing me there when young like Hymel's in Convent, LA.

Let's get to it...In-N-Out in Dallas. I've never had In-N-Out and went in with an open mind. I've heard mixed reviews and didn't want to get suck into the mythology or hype. Give me Whataburger any day. Whataburger is a better product. I had a double double animal style with animal style fries and it was a good one time road trip eat. I wouldn't seek it out again. I mention this with the huge drive there is to pull In-N-Out into Colorado. I just don't see why they're so hyped up. I would probably stop at Whataburger before them if they were side by side.

I spend a lot of time in California with my job and I'll say the In-N-Out's there are much better than others. The one in Vegas blows and I would take What-a-burger over that one any day but in Cali I think In-N-Out is the best fast food burger on the market. I don't know why but they're better out there. At any given time the drive thru's are at least ten cars deep. Here in Louisiana I agree with you I think What-a-Burger is tops.
