but major injuries sap away physical talent/years from your career also.

The guy ran for 2k and won the MVP off of a torn ACL and MCL

He's only coming off a torn meniscus, the only reason he didn't come back from it last year is bc he opted for the full repair instead of the "trim", which could've had him back in a few weeks. Full repair lessens risk of injury and it has a high probability of return to pre injury form

Even with the full repair and a 3-4 month time table there was still whispers of him coming back at the end of last year

Nah, AD will play his role. Hope he's still got it. Saints are a complimentary backfield. Kamara's progress could be the difference maker.

Right, it isn't even about Ingram or Peterson or even Kamara. You have to look at the unit as a whole. Peterson can "start" - what's that even mean? He plays the first play? Ingram will be allowed to be used more in a pass game. SP said he has a plan - he will ride the hot hand im sure - who cares who it is

That was also 5 years ago. My point was we can't say he is fresh from less carries if part of that is from leg injuries.

Like I said I'm NOT saying he is done. I think he can still do very well. My bigger question was how well would he come back from the injury, which you then touched on:

I hadn't read into all of that and it makes me hopefully he will be better than 75% of his 2015 self. He also had a hip flexor(?) though, but he's also had plenty of time to recover from that too.
