Most likely not. I don't think that most single men here are, just that there are closeted ones who fake it. Someone on another page asked if that was the case in BR? Yes, I'm sure these guys this applies to are too ashamed to come out in a conservative, southern college town like this. Some of them are well-known in BR (socially and professionally), and it would put a damper on their image if it came out that they were gay. I personally don't care. There are plenty of single men. Just bringing up a topic that's not really discussed here bc it's interesting.

LT your threads are averaging 15 pages. If I started a thread about a gay understand it would not turn out well

Well knowing that about me and knowing that I am on a couple dating apps, do you think that there is maybe an underground group of gay women that date guys for free dinner and drinks. Posers I guess you'd call them

This is exactly what I thought you were saying. You didn't come off as if you are judging. Everyone will probably think of all the guys they know and say to themselves "there is no way he would be gay". Not that it matters if they are or not, but there are likely more men than a lot of people realize, who lives the whole "happy wife, happy life" life that are miserable because they are gay, but the thought of telling their parents, co-workers... wife & kids, etc keeps them from coming out..

Even today, there are many people who don't understand. A lot of these people view it from a religious standpoint, which is... if you are gay, it is a sin.. So there is a lot of motivation for people to hide their sexual preference.
