WOW...So being the ugly American abroad and not respecting local custom is an example of American exceptionalism? That explains a lot about why we have lost our way in the world....because this is a good example of what American exceptionalism looks like...we are are only exceptional in our self image....in our arrogance and our boorish behavior....and for that we are losing our spot atop the world in leaps and bounds.
The fact that Female leaders from the US "comply" with local custom while in backward nations like Saudi Arabi while those fricking neanderthrals come here and ignore OUR customs and go to the local water park in a fricking dress is what makes America exceptional....not our doing the same thing

In case you haven't noticed, nothing substantial happens in the world without our blessing. We run NATO. We fund the UN. We defend all trade routes. We subsidize the militaries of Japan and all of Europe.
We can act however we want because the rest of the world is our collective bitch
