After spending a significant amount of time in both, I lean towards Little Rock.

Depends on your interests

LR has some great hiking and is closer to the Ozarks for camping. LR has better roads but is just as congested.

BR has much better food and IMO better nightlife. I'd venture LR would be better for Deer where BR would be better for duck and fishing.

I'd choose BR over LR but that's because I prefer beaches over mountains for getaway vacations.

I've lived in both for a significant amount of time and I'd choose Little Rock in a heartbeat.

Obviously if those are the only options...otherwise, I'd choose Austin or just Texas in general.

basically the same city

LR: better outdoors near by if you like hiking and what not.

BR: better fishing near by

Baton Rouge is better 8 Saturdays and paddies day.

I'm leaning Little Rock. I like the mountains. Little Rock isn't that far from Dallas, Memphis, Oklahoma City.

My whole thing with Baton Rouge is it's basically only close to Houston. I hated New Orleans before Bitch Mitch was around so definitely not going there now.

It's easier to get away from the thugs in Baton Rouge. Little Rock they are sparsed everywhere.

Just based on a Google search of "Things to do Little Rock" and "Things to do Baton Rouge" - I'd say Little Rock is nicer and has more going on (outside of college football).

Little Rock

Baton Rouge
