There's a reason for that. If your Superior, let's call him Don, was previously accused of sexual harrassment by a previous employee... He would like to fire the hot, but totally inept, blond with the nice rack. Due to circumstances, he has to be very careful in documenting why he is firing her. So you do just that and write up a memo.

Now when he is interviewed by HR a day later, instead of sticking to the script, he says he was going to fire her for other reasons. Then he makes several unfortunate comments about her cup size and her mini skirts.

Do you see where the problem starts? Don has to have a solid reason for firing her because he needs to keep clear of a very specific reason for firing her. Yet he can't stick to one story.
