Maybe you put partisanship or vengeance above justice, which it seems to be the case given your entire thread is about relishing in the potential harm to your opponents, but just because you are that way, doesn't mean everyone else is.

Just maybe, maybe some people genuinely want an investigation because they care more about justice then vengeance? The integrity of the democratic-republic above partisan revenge? And they wouldn't be trying to knowingly undermine justice toward either side.

Because in truth, a Pence presidency very well would likely better forward the right-wing agenda I disdain - since I think Trump ultimately would not deviate much from its core anyways - but a much worse form of it. But if it turns out Trump, or his campaign was colluding, or Trump attempted to obstruct justice, then I can live with Pence until the next election.

Because the health of the republic, and setting an example that America will not normalize such frickery, wherever it comes from, rises in importance above all else. Since in the end we are all Americans that unite under the shared respect for our Democratic form of government. But the moment we start putting more concern for our party's then the integrity of our governing system, those are the moments that label loses its luster.

If Mueller uncovers evidence that Hillary or Obama committed meaningful crimes, I hope he does pursue it. I would like to think you feel the same way toward Trump and your party, but this thread makes me think not.
