Wait, I've been seeing non-stop bitching from the Superman fanboys that "Snyder just doesn't get Superman!!!" since Man of Steel came out because of collateral damage. Now, you want actual destruction in the Marvelverse? I will never cease to laugh at the inconsistencies of the M/TV Board.

Superman is the guy who STOPS bad guys from destroying cities. He's not supposed to punch them indiscriminately so they? go flying through buildings and tearing up more shite. He's supposed to take the fight AWAY from crowds, not throw down in the middle of Grand Central station.

Nobody is upset that Zod destroyed shite with no concern for innocent lives, he's the bad guy, that's what they do. Superman was supposed to come up with a way to fight without putting more people at risk.

The problem with Ultron is that he took himself out to the middle of nowhere to fight the Avengers. He made it too easy for them to isolate the civilians so they could fight him without ANY collateral damage.

Superman is supposed to save innocent lives, not put them in more danger. Ultron is supposed destroy innocent lives, not make it easy for the heroes to save people. Man of Steel and Age of Ultron both both had their title characters behaving the exact of their nature and that's what the board complains about.

Here's my problem with Ultron. The MCU used an Avengers movie to set up a Captain America movie. Now I really liked Civil War, but I was really disappointed by Ultron. Tony's hubris wasn't resolved (considering he's the reason for the plot) and the events were set up for the Accords in Civil War.

Now CW was basically Avengers 2.5, but that's not the point. The stakes in Avengers were huge. Until Hulk shows up, the victory is in doubt. The stakes in Ultron were never that high. You could've made Ultron the villain in IM3 instead of that bastardized version of Mandarin and it would've worked just the same.

It seems they are saving both barrels for Infinty War. I expect a hero to die to raise the stakes.

"General Zod, old boy, it would be bad form for me to engage in fisticuffs with you in a crowded environment. Do please be a good fellow and follow me out to an unpopulated area where we can settle this matter like gentlemen."
