Its actually not that hard to just find work, but that's going to be shoveling shite, cleaning toilets, laying bricks, roofing, etc.

The problem is most of them went to prison because they didn't want to do real work in the first place to earn a living.

I've worked with plenty of felons over the years... the answer is pretty damn easy

I think the program should exclude those convicted of intent to distribute or some sort of distribution charge.

That's one of the main problems in our country (drugs) and with certain communities. Dealers are already lazy enough and manipulate the system. This will be looked at by those types as money in the bank.

Eta - I don't agree with the program at all though. On the basis of "you did the crime, now you do the time." Becoming a felon has consequences beyond jail and parole or probation. Shouldn't be rewarded in any way. Go work a physical labor job or something.
