Other,
CPM's excuses / throw players under the bus / cover his arse approach wears on the players to this point in the season most players look forward to it being over and a meaningful "pro" summer season begins...

I could never, ever wish health reasons on CPM. He has been a good coach who runs a clean program.

actually lau is playing to its full potential in baseball, have you seen the way lsu plays the last 4 years? paul manierie is the problem. lsu could easily have another 12 plus wins if lsu had a coach that knows what he is doing. look at blake dean in nola, he has less talent and comes away beating lsu, not sure but i think uno has better record than lsu this season. btw who would be a good candidate to replace cpm since he is not interested in getting the best out of his players?

Because we threw three pitchers that won't even be on the postseason roster. It was clear that game was not important

I spoke with a few of the '97 guys last weekend and they all told me the same thing. They said that before the game Skip would always say that all he needed was for 3 guys to be hitting that night and they would win. They said the problem with this years team is that they don't have 3 guys that can hit PERIOD. The loss of Andy has proved to be bigger than originally thought.

If they said that, and I don't believe any of them did say it, they would be surprised to know we have FOUR starters hitting over .300 and a fifth starter just below .300 at .297.

Last season we finished the year with FOUR starters hitting over .300 and fifth starter hitting just under .300 at .297.

As a team LSU is hitting .291 and last year the team batting average was .295.

look up the word fandom and get back with me. Is English your first language?
You sir are a suck arse to Pawl. Just admit it. I would rather see my team go 3-2 or 4-1 or he'll win it all, wouldn't you? So if the problem begins and ends with Coaching, why can't you ever admit to the shortcomings of Paul maineri?
Obviously, you are a Paul fan and not an LSU fan.

You haven't a clue how much money I have and will continue to pour into MY SCHOOL.
Did you even attend LSU? Were you born in 90's?

I can't see how the hell you can come on here and had seen what I saw when I was in school and know how much work went into getting the program where it was 15 years ago and maintained your position. You put Paul above the program.
Me pointing it out to you, you call me a miserable? I'm not miserable. I have high expectations for my investments.

Yes, I graduated from LSU as did my wife and all of my children.

I've had season tickets to LSU baseball going back to Skip's days as head coach.

I'll compare my history of financial support to LSU Athletics and academics to yours any time.

If you're such an LSU fan, why do you disappear from baseball game threads when the Tigers are winning and only show up to criticize their play when they are losing?

You have a personal vendetta against Mainieri which makes you hope the Tigers lose just so you can make disparaging remarks about the coach.

You are a miserable prick of a fan with an inflated opinion of your self-importance. And a lifelong loser who struggles to write cogent, coherent sentences.

You do what you have to do. I'd expand on this to say the game was not AS important as today, tomorrow, and Saturday. So, yeah, we didn't throw our best guys, but it wasn't because the game had zero importance.

What do you think is wrong with the team? We should be undefeated? We should be in 1st place instead of a game back?

The actual result is (largely) meaningless, how the result came about though is what's the problem.

This team is shallow as frick in the pen.

It's not news that the only thing this team does great is defense. But we lost that game because our offense disappeared for 6 innings. As "bad" as the pen was walking 10, only 2 of those runners scored. And Bush's last inning wasn't nearly as bad live as the box score shows.
