Ingram is not mediocre

What was he second in yards per carry?

YPC is an extremely overrated stat for judging the effectiveness of a RB since its so heavily dependent on the OL. Yards after contact is a better measurement. He may be really high in that stat, Im not sure. If he is then I take back my criticism of him but based on the eye test I just dont see him as an especially powerful or shifty runner. Like I said, I dont think hes terrible I just think hes an AVERAGE runner. Nothing wrong with being a "C" student.

Also pretty solid at catching the ball out of the backfield.

Of course. That and his pass prot and ball prot is pretty stout. Both reasons why I think he stays on the field when better RUNNING backs have been on the roster. I never said I think hes weak in those areas.

Give me a list of the nfl RB's you'd take over Ingram.

I dont keep up with other NFL teams anymore so this list might not reflect current trends...
Johnathan Stewart
Marshawn Lynch
Khiry Robinson
Le'Veon Bell
Ryan Mathews
LeSean McCoy
Ezekiel Elliot
Devonta Freeman
Chris Ivory
Jamaal Charles

Fair list. Not sure I agree with Stewart and I especially don't agree with Robinson

Jonathan Stewart- nope; Ingram is a better all around back and Stewart is slowing down

Marshawn Lynch- maybe, but on the verge of being done while Ingram has years left; more of a question of are you looking long term or quick fix

Khiry Robinson- hahahaha nope; dude was Mr. Glass II here, just like Ivory before him but not nearly as good; he had that one amazing run and then was very hit and miss

Le'Veon Bell- obviously

Ryan Mathews- nope; Ingram does everything better than him

LeSean McCoy- yeah

Ezekiel Elliot- of course

Devonta Freeman- yeah

Chris Ivory- when he was in his prime; he's done now

Jamaal Charles- another guy like Ivory where injuries have likely done him in

So that's only 4 and then a maybe if you just want 1-2 years with Lynch or 5 years of Ingram.
