It's trading almost exactly where it's been OTC for the past few weeks. That's weeks of support around the .150 to .200 range, so maybe just wait and hope for a downward break?

I use bittrex because I live in NY. NY hasn't approved Polo. You can transfer BTC to Bittrex and then trade for other coins. The transfer takes a few minutes to show up in your account during which time your a-hole is puckered because you think you incorrectly copied the transfer link

I picked up about 500 shares, I will just hold it until it really takes off or isn't worth anything. Not much downside to worry about.

Made a bitfinex account. Do I buy BTC on Coinbase, send it to a bitfinex address, then buy Iota?

Can you give me a quick primer on Iota? You seem to know your shite

ETA: noob question, but which order do I pick? market?

Here's the best rundown on the basics.

It sounds too good to be true when presented in an advertise-y way (zero fees, infinitely scalable, quantum proof, etc.), but if you look into it you can see how it actually works. The whitepaper isn't outstanding, but the math checks out according to some of the PhDs who have been hanging around the project.

Snapshotting (pruning the ledger history) will be a huge innovation that reduces the storage needs of full nodes. Partition tolerance will allow for private tangles. Offline (blue tooth, rf, etc.) will let any tiny device participate in the network at any time.

ETA: The entire rest of my write up got cut off apparently, and I'm not retyping it. tl;dr huge corporate collabs, big tech innovations in hardware (Jinn), and almost nobody knows about it right now.

K, I bought some BTC on CB, sent it to the exchange address generated on Bfx, and am now waiting for it to process. Any idea of how long? I think I want 1000 Iota

If you want it to use all the btc in your wallet for the order you set it on limit and then hit the buy all button. Hit will set in the amounts for you and you hit buy

If you don't wanna use all of the btc in your wallet then you put in the amount you want to buy yourself. Don't think it matters if it's on limit or market at that point

It took about 10 minutes to show up as processing on bitfinex, then a few minutes to process before it was available.

I was more asking how to even get anything into the wallet. All i have is stuff on coinbase. I just bought some BTC on Coinbase....so i can expect that next week. Then i guess I can transfer. I probably went about this the complete wrong way.
