Yeah, I'd just suck it up and wait until Monday. The past two times I had trouble with my AC it was a Saturday night thing. I couldn't find anyone available to come out on Sunday

It's probably a 3 dollar capacitor, always is.

My unit outside is freezing up and it's not cooling off inside at all. I went outside and hosed down the line going into the unit and cleaned the vents around the unit.

You're doing it wrong.

Post some pics of a decent looking chic found off the internet and say it's just little ole sweet you needing help from a nice guy to get that big bad AC working again.

sounds like a freon/coolant leak, might not be a diy, but not necessarily a major repair either

You could buy a window unit and run it until they can come out and fix it Monday cheaper than paying the extra for a Sunday service call

fwiw, if you can find someone to come out, it usually costs an assload. I would either spring for a couple of nights in a local hotel or head to the wal marks right now to buy a cheap window unit or two to get you through the weekend. you'll likely come out better with either of these options.

Not to mention it's supposed to storm tomorrow. I would think working outside on an air conditioner in a monsoon on Sunday will cost you dearly.

But it's not bad in outside temps. Currently. Going to be shitty tomorrow as well. You can manage.

Most likely it's a freon and compressor problem.

I bought a new unit like 4 years ago. Last May, my ac was not cooling. Turned out to be a compressor issue I think. It happened on a Friday. I stuck it out miserably with a pregnant SO. It was miserable no doubt but the outside weather factors are in ur favor till Monday. Not worth getting someone out who most likely can't fix ur problem by tomorrow. He will come out Monday to tell u it will be a day or two before its fixed bc of the parts. Hopefully u don't need a new unit bc that will be 7k minimum

It's time to treat yourself to a night and breakfast and the Hilton Capital Center, or just go to the Courtyard or Hampton Inn. Hotel a/c's are the best, turn it to 65 and dream of getting your turn on the waffle maker in the morning. Stay there until someone can come out Monday.

Be prepared that Monday will not be when ur ac is fixed. I'd say Wednesday is when it's up and running.

How old is the unit? What type freon? 22 or 410?

At that point, you need to switch hotels to get more credit
for different stays.
