It's going to be very tough for France to turn back to the Right because after World War Two, they aggressively "purged" the French political Right Wing out of existence.
I can certainly understand why few will predict a Le Pen election victory in the near future.

Le Pen isn't even right wing though. She is left of Bernie on most issues
She is just patriotic and recognizes the danger of importing thousands of Muslims. That doesn't make one far right. It just means she has common sense and values the culture of the French and French people's safety

Between the tight BREXIT vote, the French terrorist attacks, and what's going on in the Mid East and Turkey, I wouldn't be surprised if they turn a little nationalistic for a change.. at least for their own preservation.

Evidence is the only thing that changes some people's minds and the Iraq war was just that and the scientific method agrees with that.

Her father, who ran for president in 2002 and failed in the same way Marine will was an anti-Semitic Holocaust denier and Vichy France apologist. That still taints Marine and the FN.

No. The traditional right (not the free market right) made up a large portion of the Vichy government. That's why they were targeted. The Vichy was anti-modern, anti-democratic, traditionalist right wing. That has little resemblance to the American right.
