Why are you sold on his recruiting? He's #2 because of the number of recruits. The high amount of 3 stars worries me

I should have been more clear. I'm sold on his team building methods and the way he puts together his staff and got rid of the bad apples
Also the way he runs his days and the way all the recruits talk about him. There is a different air about the lsu program that everyone is going to want to jump on the train.
Also the bigger recruits are coming just wait he's building a solid foundation of the grit and grind guys then u go for the big fish

There's a high amount of 4 stars as well, a few of those 3 stars will get bumped up eventually.

Until I see the development of this offense (along with quarterback play), I withhold judgement in terms of his coaching.

As for recruiting, I fully expect a recruiter as good as he is to be able to sell to a top-flight running back (or two) that coming to LSU is worth his future.

Offensive recruitment is where I'm focused more than anything. We need some serious running backs and receivers along with 2 offensive tackles in this class.

At this tine, Chark and Dural were 3 stars.

We still have a season to go. Much can happen. But physically these are SEC caliber kids.

Remember when we used to make fun of Tennessee and Arkansas for this?

smh

Go watch the film on the DB from Evangel or some of the others and you will understand why you shouldn't worry about stars as much as you probably are

These kids aren't even in their Sr year. Way too early to worry about star rankings

Chill out, all those kids have their senior years to be ranked correctly. Many don't do the camp circuit game and therefore stay 3 stars till they dominate as seniors.

I am not worried and neither should you. A few of those three stars may end up four stars after all of the evaluations. So they are really not three stars or will be going through an elevation.

And even if some of them are, so what? Every program needs role players, players for depth and system players. And there are those three stars like Mo Claibourne who surpass their potential or were not evaluated by the services correctly.

Not to mention we still have several spots left since we are gunning toward 30. There are some big fish out there like Newman and Surtain that we have great shots to get. So advice here is not to worry too much about the three stars. Worry about the stock market, climate change, ISIS or North Korea instead:).

Many of those 3 star recruits you seem to fret over will be 4 star recruits later in the year after reevaluation occurs.

You should realize that this is very early and it is a good thing to recruit kids based on camps and personal visits vs. some star rating system by some recruiting service.

When the kids are reevaluted and receive their 4star status then I guess you will feel better that some nitwit at Rivals (or whoever) agrees with the assesment that LSU coaches have already given?

I suppose you have more faith in recruiting services than you do in our coaches.

I'll take a 3 star that wants to play well and does so over a 5 star that is an egomaniac anyday.

In Coach O I trust.
