I probably should check it out, it did seem cheesy from the ads if I remember correctly. And at the time, nobody took Mr ledger seriously as anything more than a pretty face. Damn shame honestly.

I think the movies holds up btw, I know it's 16 years old now but it's still awesome

Its a great movie, a little bit of everything. I'd have it somewhat in line with Princess Bride in terms of being a romantic/comedy/drama but it's a lot less corny IMO. It's a top 5 movie for me.
