I haven't watched the show, but from what I remember as a casual observer was that there was no doubt she was a terrible mother (likely contributing to the child's death) and that she disposed of the child's body, but there wasn't proof Beyond a reasonable doubt that she actually killed the child. (She probably did,)
The prosecutor should have included some lesser counts in the indictment related to child abuse, not reporting a crime, obstruction, etc. but they didn't want the jury to "settle" on those lesser charges. They went for murder and couldn't prove murder so they got her on nothing.
Basically.
No doubt that she covered up the death, but no way to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that it was first-degree murder as opposed to an accidental death or negligent homicide.

Watched episode 2 last night. The entire jury should be hanged. Anthony should be hanged. The prosecutors should be hanged. She never wanted that child. To have one of your best friends at the time admit on tape that while pregnant she wanted to either have an abortion or adoption because she didn't want the baby, but her mother refused to let that happen, is mind blowing. The smell of the car, the blanket Caylee was found in, the area Caylee was found in, the lies (literally EVERYTHING she ever told police during that initial investigation was a complete lie); how can you not convict that P.O.S. There was so much evidence pointing at her. I don't give AF about if it was an accidental death, negligent homicide, or 1st degree murder. Casey killed her child, and then had the AUDACITY to try and pin it on her father during the trial. She is the most evil of evil that this earth has ever seen. About 1 rung lower than Adolph Hitler himself.
SN: She was spotted at an anti-Trump rally sometime last year. Not a huge surprise that she was a Killary supporter. #MAGAhoe

Yep, this is what happens with shitty prosecutors and DAs try to make a name for themselves and overcharge in a high profile case. They absolutely couldn't prove pre-meditation.
