A good knife. Wooden spoon.
I can deal with pretty much anything else. A shitty knife and I will just quit.
Hate going to the in-laws to cook because they dont have a single sharp knife or a knife sharpener in their house. I pretty much refuse to cook there.

It does bug the crap out of me when there isn't a sharp, smooth bladed knife in the house. Then you wind up using a serrated knife to saw your onions and peppers apart.
