Regardless of your opinions on IDB situations, he did refuse to comply. And that's an absolute no-no on an airplane.

CEO was probably like, "was he black?" When told he was Asian, CEO was like, "Oh... we good."

Sucks the guys number got called to get bumped, but it happens. No need to sneak back on the plane and run around belligerent refusing to leave.

This CEO will be out in a month. The bad press from this is phenomenal and now he's doubling down. Unreal. They beat a customer unconscious for refusing to give up his seat so a United employee could take it and then had to deplane everyone so they could clean up the blood. I don't think I've ever heard of worse PR.

It's amazing how one cancerous organization (United Airlines) can totally destroy a great one (Continental Airlines) through a merger.

I think the public has reached a tipping point with the airlines

people are sick of cocktail waitresses acting like rent a cops and then having your arse removed like you're a 9/11 hijacker if you have anything but a smile when you comply

I heard he had a bloody face.
This will go down bad for the people who escorted him off the plane and the airline. It looks bad and United stupid for not sweeping this under the rug. The way the officers dragged him as a former officer I can see battery charges and lawsuits coming their way and United's way.

Just very poor and the officers do need to be fired and charged with battery. If you take someone off they should have had one carry the feet strapped and one the upper body to prevent injury. At the point they. retained him the guy was in their care and they did a piss poor job and should be fired!

It's all Ralph Nadar's fault for not arguing a better case...

my question is why does the doctor think he is better than everyone else? So he has patients to see, so what. What about a parent who is trying to get home to see their kids? Is that not more important? In my opinion they are equal. If the doctor had matters that were so pressing why didn't he book an earlier flight or even drive? What if weather would have delayed or canceled his flight? The problem is that a lot of people think they are better than everyone else. How was the cop supposed to handle it? The doctor acted like a spoiled brat and was expecting to be given in to. If I was on that flight I would have been pissed at the doctor for holding up the flight. Instead of acting like a professional the doctor decided to contribute more drama to the problem. Way to go doc! The fact is that both parties are to blame and the doctor should not be allowed to play the victim card since he contributed to the situation.
