If you look at an ag field, do not fall for the old trick of showing it to you in Feb/March. I have seen friends get hosed not knowing any better.

True, I would not lease a blind or pit unless I personally hunted it or had friends that you trust that could vouch for it with some pics of dead birds as proof. Showing a spot after the season that is covered in birds means nothing if it is the dead sea during duck season and there is no way to verify that in Feb/March.

A good rule of thumb with pits in NE LA and probably South LA too is that you are absolutely going to get what you pay for. If a deal comes out that seems too good to be true, in duck leasing terms, it probably is.
