My grandfather is from the generation before the boomers. He retired at the age of 50 from the police force (chief of detectives) and has been living a good life off of a pension for 35 years now. I have no idea how much it pays, but he has a nice house and my grandmother has always driven nice cars.
I don't think I'll see things like that.

Nope. We're a country run by boomers. We're going to feel the effects in a couple decades, though.
