He would be replaced by a social conservative. I wonder if that was taken into account when Pence was chosen.

Pretty funny if you think about it.

They don't think that far ahead. This is the party that rioted over a temporary delay in immigration from Somalia.

TRUMP isn't going anywhere and there is nothing they can do about it.

They're not going to get rid of him. I hate to break it to them.

But if they get rid of him, then Pence, then Ryan, they get Pelosi. That's the play baby! Then, Pelosi can call for a special election and we can have our queen. either Michelle or Hillary.

Trump wasn't a fascistic woman hating racist until he ran as a republican.

Their current dilemma seems to be how to keep their titular head out of prison for weaponizing FISA into a domestic political tool.

Trump survives the first term and does not even seek re-election and the resulting damage to the GOP will resonate for 3 generations....

The GOP is not done with Trump by a damn site....that butchers bill is going to be presented some day and it ain't gonna be cheap....

The Dems would say Pence is too religious to be an effective President and would come up with some way to trip him up and get him impeached. These lunatics are all about destroying the other party, not trying to win the battle of ideas.

only the insanity of the progressive extreme would consider removing a President who is, essentially, Bill Clinton, and replacing him with a more conservative Bob Dole, a win

I don't think it is about replacing Trump, but the 2018 midterms and 2020 elections.

There is 8 to 11 GOP governors or GOP open seats that could be tough to keep and State seats in both houses.

This is important because after the 2020 census there will re districting. This will effect congress for at least 10 years.

Democratic base wants trump gone, I dobut the democratic party does. One, they know about pence being a strongly congressionally allied republican. 2nd, they know a weakened trump isn't going to accomplish much. 3rd, it will be easier to run against trump than pence.

This is the dilemma of any succesful impeachment. The founders didn't envision a two person "ticket."

That said, I disagree with pretty much everything Pence stands for, but I think he's a fairly rational guy who wouldn't be a loose cannon. I can't say the same about Trump.

Pence would be so damaged he would be beyond lame duck status. Ryan will be torn apart by the alt right.

Basically, once trump is gone it will just be status quo until the next election.

This really cracks me up bc Trump is a damn old school Dem.

These idiots are cutting off their nose to spite their face if they really want Pence.

Hell, I don't want Pence. Way too far right.
