For all that made the Rome recs, are they OK for a 13 yo girl? We are going in June.

I will definitely take her to Giolitti..she likes American gelato so that will blow her away.

Giolitti is a famous, tourist-mobbed, historic place definitely worth visiting....but you can take a 13 year old girl on a fabulous gelato crawl around town every evening. Hit up Gelateria del Teatro (my fave flavor there is the giggle inducing flavor that translates as "grandpa's balls", palli di nonno or something close to that, it has pine nuts and honey, IIRC), Catalina, and Fior di Luna. Hell, you could hit all three on a decent not exhaustingly long evening stroll.

It's been too long since I was in Italy...this makes me want to walk for hours after dinner, from gelateria to gelateria. (My record is 4 different artisanal places in one evening's passeggiata, but these were just piccolo scoops w/2 flavors at each place.)
