I don't, either. I feel good for Oakland. They didn't get ripped off by a poor, downtrodden billionaire.

Why did #Dolphins dissent? Source: Stephen Ross believes it's not the best thing for fans & NFL. No animosity. But concern for all the moves

More context on Stephen Ross' dissent: Ross spent $500M+ in private funds to renovate a stadium & keep #Dolphins in MIA for the next 30 yrs

Agreed, there are some messed up priorities in the country when it comes to entitlements, use of tax payer dollars etc. The hypocracy is amazing!

I think that's a safe assumption

Which sport will likely expand to Vegas next, MLB or NBA?

MLB will never go there IMO. Have you seen some of the numbers that the Vegas AAA team hitters put up?

Makes Coors field look like a pitchers park.

Good points about the gambling and fantasy being crutches for the NFL, but Vegas has a couple million residents and has around 30 million tourists each year. Disney has around 20 million. Plenty of foot traffic to support a team there. Times have changed.

Davis isn't a billionaire, though I do think Oakland made the right decision and didn't give him the store.

Same assholes were complaining about the city of Atlanta not doing anything to keep the Braves near downtown.

Vegas is a city of 600k people. I can see the tourist destination angle, but they'll lose most of their Bay Area fans and won't gain much in Vegas. And yes, the casino angle is sleazy to the core.

I expect the ratings to drop after the move, possibly before as well, but I'm sure they'll blame Colin K. or some other clown for the drop.

The money Las Vegas will make during Super Bowl week will be unreal. It will make a big fight weekend look like a regional accountant's convention. Can you imagine what all of the high end clubs will be like? Or the strip clubs?

Miami is pissed because that's one more metro they have to compete with for Super Bowls and bowl games.

I wouldn't be surprised if mega fights will hosted at the new arena as well, as opposed to MGM Grand and other regular venues
