I don't see how they can play in Oakland for another two seasons at this point

Yeah there's 0 chance I'd renew my saints tickets if it was official that they were moving in 2 years. Their attendance was already bad, they should just play 16 road games now

if the Chargers can play a season or two in a soccer stadium then Raiders should see if they can work something out w/ UNLV

Pretty crazy how in my lifetime the NFL has gone from wanting to keep arms length from gambling to moving a team to Las Vegas to presumably maximize the benefit of gambling (otherwise what's the point its a small market).

Just a sign of overall moral decay in society. I don't know how much I mind, but the evidence is obvious.

Dolphins won't survive in a desert. Dolphins much better off visiting a Bay Area.

Dolphins are against it because Miami was a top destination for a road trip before today and it will be Vegas once that stadium opens

Rotoworlds writer of the day must be a raider fan

quote:

The NFL has approved the Raiders' relocation to Las Vegas. Shameful. The vote was 31-1, with only Dolphins owner Stephen Ross voting no. The NFL has taken to declaring "football is family," but what it really is is money. The Bay Area is one of the richest economic zones in all of human history, but Raiders owner Mark Davis is the poorest owner in the NFL. Since he was too poor to finance a stadium in Oakland and the local authorities wouldn't provide him corporate welfare, he's uprooted for Las Vegas, where a sports-desperate area and casino magnates will foot the bill. It's the NFL's third relocation in 15 months. Any time a team moves is a dark day for its league. Today is no different for the NFL. The Raiders will remain in Oakland for 2017 — and supposedly 2018 — with an eye toward arriving in Sin City in 2019.
