If anyone wants to know JJs character please read the interview...Johnny Jones bleeds purple and gold"... he came to lsu at 18 years old and gave blood sweat and tears to the school for 22 years.....his biggest mistake was dictated to him to take ben simmons....someone said-he couldnt coach simmons, but the fact is simmons is uncoachable....and he knew he had temple, shaq, et al in his pocket. Johhny deserves respect as the third best record ever at lsu and it would have been better without the albatross-simmons. If you care about LSU, you will back off of the ridiculous ranting about Jones and give wade your support-at least until he loses his first game.

Nobody thinks Coach Jones is a bad guy but come on man, he lost 15 in a row this year. A school record. It was absolutely time for him to go.

Actually agree. Glad to move on, but he's a good dude and hopefully he lands on his feet somewhere.

Al leads he's got plenty of money to fall back on

look johnny is a nice guy and yes he loves LSU....but let's not pretend simmons possibly being a malcontent was his only issue. His teams were so woefully under coached it was embarrassing. Who to blame for that?

I don't understand one thing about the JJ era. When we were short players, he did a great press that worked wonders. Usually with Coleman up top (loved Coleman btw)

I never understood why when he did bring in some athletes, why he stopped going to it....

I actually liked the first 2 years of the JJ era. Those kids played hard as frick.

But, it is time to move on. Excited for the new coach.

JJ was good at what he he was good at. I wouldn't be mad to see him retained as recruiting coordinator.

And furthermore, he had built us up for a run with Mickey/Martin/Hornsby.....

That should have been a sweet 16 team. They were legit talents. That year is when I knew he wasn't the answer. We had those guys, with Simmons/Blakeney coming in after.....the momentum had built for that moment.

And we blew the NC State game.

Preposterous we even lost that game.

Yeah it must have been a kick in nuts to have Ben Simmons have one of the most productive freshman seasons in ncaa history.what a piece of shite Simmons is.

fricking ignorant.

I don't think his character has been attacked. I think everyone appreciates the hard work and dedication he has given this University but it just wasn't enough. With great power comes great responsibility.
