It's going to be a slow long climb but will happen. OPEC has been holding flat on production which was a part of the recent rise in price. However domestic storage is at an all time high and domestic activity started to increase with rig counts increasing each week.

its all supply and demand and supply is still out pacing demand.

I've been receiving oil & gas royalties from several wells over the years, but those checks have been down these past 4-5 years. Several landmen are telling me now that they are looking at drilling several new wells in the coming mths, as it is now getting worth their while to drill again.

It's because for a decent majority, a lot of them do not posses a critical thinking / problem solving equivalent to earn a degree that is on par with the pay the oil field paid them.

I hear there are tons of job openings for tradesmen, like electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and the like. Maybe you should consider a career change.

These Oil/Gas Baws skip College then start making $75,000 for the first time in their life.

They go around buying big trucks, boats, hookers etc. Thumping their chest about how rich they are while bragging and rubbing it in everyone's face.

The bottom falls out and three months later they are all crying and broke.

Do you really think trump will get the senate to end usa membership in WTO?

Do you think usa manufacturing will be cost effective choice?

Other big factors
Usa production
World wide production
Competition from other enetgy sources locally.
Nukes.

Solar/wind/whatever.

I'm as pro-oil field as you'll find, but this take is ridiculous. You can't blame the end user here. If anything, the plight of the oil field is currently due to the oil field itself. I want the jobs to come back, but I'll take the cheap gas as a silver lining in the interim.
